Idols damaged in Sirajganj temple
In a fresh attack on temple, miscreants have damaged two idols at a Kali temple at Phulkocha Kundupara in Sirajganj. Adhir Chandra Kundu, president of Sharbajanin Kalimata mandir, said miscreants severed the heads of the idols of Kali and Shitla and took them away any time on Saturday night. Hindu devotees noticed the incident and informed me, he added. The police, however, rushed in and were investigating the matter, said Basudev Sinha, the officer-in-charge of sadar police station. Sirajganj deputy commissioner Kamrun Nahar Siddika, superintendent of police Miraz Uddin Ahmed, and other officials visited the spot. On October 30, about 200 houses and business establishments and 22 temples of Hindus were vandalised and robbed during the attacks at Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria
